NAMUYAMBA MUYUNDA- VERGEER

Mentor

Namuyamba is currently the Community Impact Manager-Southern Africa at Global Health Corps (GHC) where she focuses on partnerships, program management and implementation, communications and community engagement for the GHC alumni program. Prior to this she was the Zambia Program and Operations Manager focusing on the GHC fellowship program. Her work included program management, coaching & mentoring, fiscal management, health safety and security and events management.
Namuyamba’s work in the Global Health Space began in 2008 with the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) on the Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) program. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Namibia and pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Zambia.

NANG'ANDU CHIZYUKA

Mentor

Nang'andu Chizyuka is a Senior Associate, Monitoring & Evaluation. She is a seasoned health promotion practitioner with a focus on Monitoring and Evaluation,  Knowledge Management,  Community Health and Digital Health solutions across several disease areas. She studied Development Studies at the University of Zambia and a Master of Science in Public Health Promotion from Leeds Beckett University.She is passionate about equality and social justice. Her hobbies include cooking, travelling and sports.

JOLENE NAMUKOKO

Mentor

Jolene Namukoko is a Project Manager at Serve Zambia Foundation, a not for-profit organisation that works with communities and churches to contribute to the eradication of poverty. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Development from Mulungushi University and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Project Management at the Copperbelt University. She enjoys streaming movies and TV shows and is excited to share her experience with mentees.

MWELWA CHASAYA

Mentor

Mwelwa Chasaya hails from Kitwe, Zambia. She is a Global Health Corps alumna, an ardent advocate for HIV prevention in adolescents and a Public Health Analyst with a Biomedical Science background.  Mwelwa studied at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia and has since worked in both government and NGO sectors. Her job responsibilities over the years have included: Biomedical Scientist, Quality Officer and Public Health Analyst. She received the Ndola Teaching Hospital 2018 award for “Most Innovative Head of Section".  Mwelwa currently works as an independent consultant in health research. In her free time, Mwelwa is a huge fan of soccer, enjoys reading novels, creative writing and swimming.

CHOZI NKHATA SINYANI

Mentor

Chozi Nkhata Sinyani is a Business Innovation Analysis Expert at ZAMTEL, she is a recipient of the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship and holds a Master of Arts Degree in Governance and Development from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK. In 2001, she was awarded a meritorious Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies with Economics from the University of Zambia. She prides herself in being a strong advocate of female leadership, mentoring and having strong interpersonal relationship skills. She loves gardening and listening to worship music which help her unwind after a stressful day.

ENG CHARITY CHOLA

Mentor

Eng Charity Chola is an Electrical/Electronics Engineer and Fellow of the Engineering Institution of Zambia. She is currently in charge of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Infrastructure and Solutions at ZESCO. She has 20 years’ experience in planning, designing, implementing and maintaining information systems solutions, she is currently serving on the 60th EIZ Council as Vice President – Policy, Public Relations and National Development (PPRND).

MADALITSO MBEWE

Mentor

Madalitso is public health researcher whose main interest is adolescent health. She has a keen interest in SRHR, mHealth, eHealth, HIV and GBV. She has lead adolescent research for over 7 years. She is passionate about girls and women empowerment and in her spare time she volunteers with 3 philanthropic organizations focused on girls empowerment, financial inclusion, GBV and green energy.

MONJE SICHONE

Mentor

Monje is a seasoned Banker with more than thirteen years’ experience in the fast-paced banking industry. She is a Governance and Risk specialist working in Global Markets at Absa Bank Zambia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance as well as a Master of Business Administration with a specialty in Finance. Monje is passionate about promoting gender equality and women's empowerment. She is also an avid reader of contemporary literature and biographies and is a founding member of the Lusaka Book Club. She firmly believes that literature provides readers with an opportunity to close cultural chasms.

EKELESI ZIWA

Mentor

Ekelesi is currently the Project Officer at the Centre for Enterprises Development, Chreso University. Over the years she has developed excellent communication skills that has allowed her to train and promote others for further growth. She has a Bachelors of Adult Education from the University of Zambia, Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring & Evaluation, a Master of Business Administration and a Master in Education and Guidance and Counselling from the University of Zambia.

MANGALA KABOSHA

Mentor

Mangala is a Social Worker with traceable experience working in the fields of health and social protection. She is a girl child rights activist and a seasoned psychosocial counsellor that has worked with both adults and young children living with HIV, survivors of gender based violence and refugees. She studied Social Work at the University of Zambia and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Project Planning Management at the Information and Communication University.

KUWABO MULONDA

Mentor

Kuwabo studied at the University of Zambia where she attained a Bachelor of Arts with Education Degree and further went on to study at the University of Lusaka where she attained a Master of Arts in Peace and Security Studies. She is currently a Secondary School Teacher in Lusaka. Kuwabo is also a volunteer of Kids Hope Foundation a child refugee based organisation established to provide assistance to refugee children below the age 12 and unaccompanied minors.
Kuwabo enjoys travelling, reading and listening to music. She is passionate about humanitarian assistance, women and children's rights, law, peace and security, conflict resolution, community development, leadership and public relations along side much more.
